Tips for Purchase & Usage
Versions & Network Requirements
Wi-Fi Version connects directly to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
Zigbee Version requires Tuya Zigbee Hub. Other Zigbee hubs and Zigbee2MQTT are not supported.
Update Frequency
The sensor reports data on a trigger basis, typically updating once per hour.
The update frequency cannot be customized.
Real-time updates require USB-powered models (e.g., TH06/TH16).
Battery Guidelines
Only use LR03-1.5V alkaline batteries.
Do not mix old and new batteries or different brands.
Avoid using rechargeable or poor-quality batteries.
Improper battery usage may cause configuration failures or rapid battery drain.
Installation Recommendations
Install the device in areas with strong signal strength.
Poor signal strength increases transmission power usage and drains the battery faster.
Network Signal Testing
The sensor enters low-power mode when idle. Signal strength shown in the app may not reflect actual performance.
Functionality & Behavior
Error & Accuracy Notes
Acceptable error is ±1℃ for temperature and ±5%RH for humidity.
Sensor needs 30–60 minutes to adjust to room temperature for accurate measurement.
Historical Data
Data is stored in hourly granularity for up to 7 days.
Historical values represent the average of each hour.
Third-Party Voice Assistant Support
Alexa and Google Home may not show sensor readings in-app but support voice queries.
Temperature-based routines are not supported on these platforms.
Not compatible with Yandex Alice.
Trigger Mechanism
The sensor uses Edge Triggering (ET).
For example, if the automation is set to trigger when the temperature exceeds 25℃:
If the temperature rises from 24℃ to 25℃, it triggers.
If it is already above 25℃ when the automation is set, it will not trigger.
Likewise, if set to trigger below 20℃:
If the temperature drops from 21℃ to 20℃, it triggers.
If it is already below 20℃ when the automation is set, it will not trigger.
When Will Battery Drain Quickly
Incorrect battery type or mixing batteries.
Sensor installed in an area with frequent temperature or humidity changes.
Sensor placed in an environment below 0℃.
Sensor installed where the network signal is weak.
Sensor used in high humidity, which can corrode batteries and cause leakage.
